The Knesset

The Knesset is Israel’s unicameral parliament. The Knesset passes all laws, elects the president and prime minister (although the latter is formally appointed by the president), confirms the cabinet and oversees government work, etc., and elects the State Comptroller. It also has the power to revoke the immunity of its members, remove the president and the state comptroller, dissolve the government with a constructive vote of no confidence, and dissolve itself and hold new elections. Situated in Givat Ram, it overlooks Sacher Park and the neighborhoods of Rechavia and Katamon, and neighbors the Israel Museum, Bible Lands Museum, and the Rose garden.
